Stinkin' cold and home made biscuits

It's my day off work today and I've got a cold.  That's the problem with part time working, you're ill on your days off . I can't complain though, it's just red watery eyes, chapped lips and a bunged up nose.  I haven't even drummed up much sympathy at home   I have managed to do some housework though, just enough to get by, if you know what I mean?

Including some baking and now it's feet up, cup of tea and eating all the mishapen biscuits and of course crafting. I have a few projects on at the moment: knitting socks, edging pillow cases for mother's day and choosing yarn for some throws.  I have to fly now, just got a call to collect my daughter from the train station.  Somehow, my time never seems to last very long;) Photos to follow...

For a number of years I have been crafting, a bit of this and that. During that time I've been following Lucy in Attic 24 and Theresa on You Tube, between them they have taught me how to crochet, I love it and I'm sooo grateful. I have crafting 'stuff' all over the house, boxes of yarn stashed discreetly away (I hope). A car boot full of stained glass equipment including boxes of coloured glass - too beautiful to throw away! A glass grinder in the wardrobe - you get the picture? I have such plans but I just don't have the time, unfortunately, I'm a craft obsessive who has to go to work.

Well hello there!

Is there anybody out there in blog land, one wonders?

It's been a while since my last blog but y'know what they say - new year, new start - time to give it another go.

A short update; my son is in his final year at uni and just turned 21, and my lovely daughter is also at uni. All that me time didn't quite happen because they're both commuting to uni and living at home. The house continues to be hectic, noisy and generally untidy - but I wouldn't really want it any other way.

Happy days - be sure to cherish them.

This evening the snow has arrived here and making everywhere look lovely. It's so quiet. Yesterday was frosty and I had to stop and take a few photos on my way to work. Hope you like. :)

Sweet Sixteen

I hope you're enjoying the wonderful weather.  We've been out and about celebrating and taking it easy. It's my daughter's 16th today,  Here's a peek at what she was like as a baby! She's 13 months and on her way to see grandma with her brother:)

My optimism is paying off.

A little bit of sunshine!

Hurray for the weekend.
Saturday morning is one of my favourite times. The young people are still in bed and the house is peaceful.  I'm sat with a cup of tea looking out at a bright but cloudy sky.  I hope the weather will be as good as yesterday - I'm feeling optimistic. I have loads to do but I don't care, I'm simply enjoying the moment...
